Preparatory activities for the 2015 UN 70^th anniversary began in 2014. The UN member-states want to take this opportunity to express and advocate their ideas and proposals，as well as to promote the unfinished UN reform. The issues of the Millennium Development Goals，climate change，peace and security，and anti-terrorism are the main topics and agendas for the UN in the coming year of its 70^th anniversary. In 2014，as always，the United Nations faced many intractable issues in the area of international peace and security，including issues regarding Ukraine，Syria，Iraq，the Middle East，terrorism，ISIS，and so on. The outbreak of the Ebola virus in West Africa attracted much attention from the UN Security Council. On the occasion of the upcoming of 70th anniversary of the UN，China should make more constructive contributions to global peace and development within the framework of the UN.
