亚信会议机制建立22年以来，在理念创新和机制建设两个方面取得了一定的进展。但亚信成员国众多，在经济发展水平、政治制度、社会文化等多方面差异明显，成员国对于亚信的参与意愿及其期待也不尽相同，在各种内外因素的制约和干扰下，亚信成员国可能会产生对亚信机制的离心倾向；此外，亚信自身功能、定位不够明确，运转效率和实效性有待提高；在亚信机制建设进程中，大国引领作用存在缺失。上述因素已经对亚信的发展构成挑战并成为制约亚信机制发展的瓶颈。2014年第四届亚信领导人峰会在上海成功举办，标志着亚信发展进入新的历史时期。作为“亚洲安全观”的首倡国和亚信会议机制新任主席国，中国将在推动亚信会议机制发展方面发挥不可替代的作用。
<<Since it was established 22 years ago，the CICA has made progress in both idea innovation and mechanism building. But several factors，such as the great diversities among the CICA countries，defect of the CICA itself and the great power’s intervene will challenge the future development of the CICA. As the initiator of the “Asia security concept” and the new chairman of the CICA，China will play a irreplaceable role in promoting the development of the CICA mechanism.
