The economic and social situation of the exurban region in Shanghai changed so much that great accomplishments are achieved，while the comprehensive functions of this city have promoted a lot. Different from the suburb region which develops by virtue of the radiation of central area，however，the exurb region is still facing the problems of low development level，high agricultural population and frail infrastructure level which obstacle the advancement of urbanization. This report cites an instance of Fengxian District，selects and analyzes three approaches of urbanization，and gives suggestions of urbanization in exurban region after evaluating these three cases.
