In 2008，further efforts were made to combat corruption and build a clean government in China，including promoting the corruption punishment and prevention system steadily and safely，implementing the Accountability System strictly on officials involved in major accidents，solving the corruption related to agriculture，education and medical care firstly and working hard to hold a “Clean Olympic”. The document issued by CPC Central Committee，A Work Plan of Establishing and Perfecting Corrupt Prevention and Punishment System，is a landmark for combating corruption and building a clean government in the next 5 years.
