With the rapid progress of urbanization，urban management has become increasingly important. During the period of the Eleventh-Five-Year Plan，China’s urban management has experienced an important transition，followed by large positive changes in management concept，management system，management technique and method. As a result，gradually cleared the path of urban management system；innovated the diversified urban management approaches；constantly improved the quality and efficiency of urban management，with a sharp reduction in social contradictions once caused by the backward urban management. Judging from the developing tendency，we predict that China’s urban management system reform and mechanism innovation will certainly be in a faster pace. With the extensive application of grid management and digital management mode，urban management will be expected to enter a new stage.
