Most current immigration research is focused on the implications migration poses for the macro economy and society of source countries and recipient nations. By contrast，limited attention has been paid to the quality of life enjoyed by migrants. Focusing on this aspect of the global migration phenomenon，the paper summarizes the current situation of migrants living abroad，focusing on their quality of life and problems. This discussion is based on a recent Gallup World Poll of migrants. This article also elaborates on the potential difficulties international migrants face in the areas of employment，entrepreneurship，and family life.
