The structural transformation of living conditions，transition mechanisms for coping with a new environment，along with accompanying adjustment of ideas and interests，clearly change the behavior，life-style，and value systems of individuals choosing to migrate. Chinese returning from overseas have often found themselves caught in a cultural identity dilemma after undergoing baptism in an exotic foreign culture. The cultural identity problem makes it necessary for newly returned overseas Chinese adapt and integrate back into the society of their mother country. With aim of helping Chinese overseas returnees overcome this difficulty，the paper analyses the influential factors underlying cultural identity problems and puts forward some specific measures to strengthen the cultural identity of such individuals on a variety of fronts in order to speed up the pace of their social integration back into China.
