Transitional community is a special phenomenon in the process of urbanization in China，and is also a new type of urban community. The reason why it appears is the rapid expansion outward of the metropolitan，such as a lot of dynamic phenomenon in the new population relocation and village merger aggregation. In this paper，through the investigation of the Yujiayuan community，it is founded that the space distribution of transitional communities are more concentrated in the suburbs，and social communication presents the two circles，namely locals and outsiders. The residents’ lifestyle still retains the characteristics of rural work and rest. In addition，transformal communities also face many challenges. For example，the old and the new management system and lack of social organizations. To solve these problems，Yujiayuan community has taken some effective measures，in particular to the community governance system，double track system of community organization reengineering and control population through the market mechanism.
