Smart city is an advanced form of city in the information age. It is the trend and features of the world’s city development. Some countries and cities have proposed the strategy of building smart city. Henan province also attaches great importance to the construction of smart city and has carried out the practice in some pilot cities. Based on the analysis on the current situation of the construction of smart city，the paper points out the difficulties and problems encountered at present in technology，system，application，and industry promotion. Then this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions of the construction of smart city.
