Japan is a hotpot of natural disasters, especially the earthquake multiple happens frequently.For this reason, Japan has affluent experience in protection against and mitigation of earthquake disasters.Urban planning is the important foundation of disaster prevention system, both supplement each other.Although Japanese Northeast Earthquakes revealed lacunae of Japan's tsunami prevention and nuclear power station safety, but in general, Japanese experiences in earthquake prevention and disaster reduction are worth of learning from.This paper summarized Japanese experiences, and put forward some policy suggestions to promote China's urban planning and protection against and mitigation of earthquake disasters. <<
