The paper thinks that with the deepening of social and economic reforms，community service plays a positive role in residents’life and social development. This paper describes the status of the city community service system in Henan Province，think that city community service system at the primary stage，the developments among different regions are imbalanced，the construction of community service system in different regions have their own characteristics. We also analyzed some problems existing in Henan city community service system. For example，the lack of community service facilities，the personnel shortage in community service and the community service mechanism is faulty，community residents autonomy is weak. We brought up some possible solutions to improve the community service system in Henan Province，such as increase the government’s investment，strengthen community service system innovation，enrich the contents of community service，intensify the construction of community service personnel team，etc.
