From the new urbanization concept which emphasizes the coordinated development of industry urbanization，population urbanization and land urbanization，this article has analyzed the processes and characteristics of industry urbanization，population urbanization and land urbanization in Southern Greater Khingan Range Contiguous Destitute Area，explained the evolution of the economic linkages and industrial divisions between major cities and the changes of Central Function Indexes of the core cities since 2004. Then，combined with the poverty alleviation and regional development plan of Southern Greater Khingan Range Contiguous Destitute Area，the author made a concrete SWOT analysis and proposed the overall urbanization strategy and sub-strategies of industry urbanization，population urbanization and land urbanization.
