This paper elaborated the funeral service concepts and classification, analyzed the status quo of the basic funeral services and selective funeral services. It was found that there are large regional differences in the China's basic funeral service. And the selective funeral services couldn't meet the needs of mourner with the inadequate conditions such as backward facilities, simple content and form of services, and less service staff. Therefore, it was recommended that China should safeguard the basic funeral services to achieve gradually equalization, and specify the selective funeral service to improve service quality. <<
