The meaning of the humanities, the background and aim of humanities funeral which proposed initially by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and development trends of China funeral affairs were discussed in the study. And then, the author defined the conception of humanities funeral. The connotation and denotation of humanities funeral were elaborated as a basis for the definition. <<
