In 2011, the total cultural consumption of rural areas increased by over 10% in 14 provinces, 10 of which by over 15% and 7 of which over 20%; the per capita value of cultural consumption in rural areas increased by over 10% in 16 provinces, 13 of which by over 15% and 8 of which over 20%. Ranking of the status evaluation of the cultural consumption demand of rural areas across the provinces in 2011—the lateral evaluation of ideal value without gap between urban and rural areas and among different regions is as follows: Jiangsu, Qinghai, Gansu ranked the top three in the "2011 rural leader"; the vertical evaluation of each province's base value throughout the years are as follows: Jiangsu, Shanxi, Heilongjiang ranked the top three in the "1991-2011 rural runner-up"; Qinghai, Shanxi, Jiangsu ranked the top three in the "1995-2011 rural runner-up"; Tibet, Qinghai, Shanxi ranked the top three in the "2000-2011 rural runner-up"; Qinghai, Jiangsu, Ningxia ranked the top three in the "2005-2011 rural runner-up"; Xinjiang, Chongqing, Ningxia ranked the top three in the "2011 annual rural runner-up".
