Due to the combined effect of political and economic factors，the Sino-Japanese economic relations have crunched to a standstill in the whole year of 2014，There is a grow trend of “cold politics and cold economy” between China and Japan，with the volume of bilateral trade almost the same as that of last year，the greatest decline of Japanese FDI to China in the recent 30 years，and the government bond swapping and the negotiation of China-Japan-Korea FTA gained no substantial progress. With the slow recovery of Sino-Japanese political ties，there will be improvement for Sino-Japanese economic ties in terms of trade，investment and cooperation on financial and fiscal policies. Breakthrough in the FTA negotiation and substantial progress in Sino-Japanese cooperation of environment protection such as the control of smog can be also foreseen.
