The Abe administration in the second term place great emphasis on work with the media and public opinion. Knowledge concerning rules and regularity of Japanese politics and society can be gained if the routine mechanism of controlling the press conducted by the cabinet is well examined，and how the control of the press and media environment have changed in the events，such as Abe’s visit to Yasukuni Shrine，the introduction of the law of protecting special secrecy，the lifting of the ban on collective self-defense right and the “reexamination” of “Kono Statement”，is well analyzed.
