Japan’s Instigating the issue of the Diaoyu Islands and hyping up“China threat”has given cause for a deterioration in not only Sino-Japan relations but also the peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region.Abe’s China policy，based on Japan’s national interests and the Japan-US alliance，is to contain China’s peaceful development and strives to occupy the commanding heights of the Asia-Pacific regional cooperation.Meanwhile，Abe tries to shape the Asia-Pacific security mechanism，to promote values-oriented diplomacy to contend with China，to develop relations with China’s neighboring countries to offset China’s influence，and to build the Asia Pacific region on a Japan-US alliance basis.With the rapid development of China’s comprehensive strength，China-Japan relations are entering a sensitive adjustment period.An accurate definition of Sino-Japan bilateral relations is critical for stability and development in the Asia Pacific region.
