This report analyzes the openness of information about government procurement for 26 provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government and, based on available data, compares the transaction prices of supply agreements and of centralized batch procurements of state organs of the Central Government with the average market prices. The report points out that the current situation of disclosure of information about government procurement in China is not ideal and that transaction prices of government procurement of certain goods are higher than market prices. Therefore more attention should be paid on the revision and improvement of the legal system for government procurement.
