Urbanization is a major strategic issue in China's modernization process. New urbanization is bringing both opportunities and challenges to China's urban and rural development. This article briefly describes practices and achievements in promoting urbanization process in Anhui, analyses issues and trends in urbanization, and puts forward path dependence of urbanization promotion.
