New breakthroughs and positive developments have been achieved in urbanization in 2012. The level of urbanization has risen rapidly, urban functions have been gradually improved, urban economic strength has been increased markedly, the urban system has been constantly optimized and urban comprehensive carrying capacity has continued to increase. However, compared with the national situation, there are still difficulties and problems. For example, the development of urbanization is still relatively undeveloped, unbalanced and uncoordinated. Besides, resource and environment constraints are grim and the level of urban management is relatively backward. The development of Urbanization in 2013 will shift from scale expansion to both the scale and quality. Its sustained, rapid and healthy development will be promoted from the architecture, development mode, industry support, habitat environment, institutional mechanism and so on, which will make the urbanization a strong driving force for the province's sustainable economic and social development. <<
