This Chapter outlines main activities of China's administration of foreign exchange in 2012. Based on the statistics of balance of payments, it focuses on the five main aspects in the administrative actions of foreign exchange in 2012, which includes the reform in the capital accounts liberalization, the bidirectional managements in the cross-border capital flow, reform in promoting flexibility of the foreign exchange rate and improving management on the foreign exchange market, reform in increasing the private holding of foreign exchange, and adjustments of administration mode of foreign exchange. Considering the complex conditions of the future global economic recovery and domestic economic growth,it argues that the China's administration of foreign exchange will continue to support real economic activities ,enhance the ability to manage risks of foreign exchange and balance of payments, and improve the relative rules and activities aiming at transforming administration mode .
