The paper reviews the situation of the social assistance program and the minimum living standard security system in 2011. Considering the economic situation of 2011, the paper analyzes the influence of inflation on the social assistance system and the poor families. Based on the analysis, the paper suggests that current minimum living standard security system is too low in today's economic situation. It is crucial to establish a linkage mechanism between rising prices and the social security and assistance system. At the same time, the development of the minimum living standard security system should be consistent with the ideology of "moderate general welfare". Additionally, it is important to educate the general public that social assistance system has a significant place in modern society. <<
