Northern Anhui includes Suzhou, Huaibei, Fuyang, Bozhou, Bengbu, Fengtai and Panji of Huainan. This area is away from the central cities group and in low levels of industrialization and urbanization, and it is the country's major grain production base. In 2011-2012, the economic and social development of this area has been accelerating, the industrial structure has been optimized and urbanization has speeded up with food and agricultural development in good momentum, people's living standards has been improved significantly. Northern Anhui are facing rare opportunities for development and many challenges in the current and the next period, in order to achieve healthy and stable development on the economy and society, we must give full play to the comparative advantages, and make full use of the support from national policy. Around the construction of first area of coordinated development in the Central Plains Economic Region, this area should make new urbanization play a guiding role, new industrialization leading role, agriculture as basis, and walk the road of coordinated development without sacrificing agriculture and environment. <<
