Based on the definition of next emerging economies,this report studies their economic characteristic,industrial structure,and competitiveness of industries by using their economic and industrial data from 2000 to 2011. We also do some comparisons with competitiveness of Chinese industries. Our study finds out that the proportion of their service industry is the highest in the industrial structure of next emerging economies; the proportion of their industry is the second higher; the proportion of their agriculture is the lowest. The market shares and RCAs of their merchandises exporting to the US are usually low,but their primary commodities and low-tech products are relatively dominant. Compared with competitiveness of Chinese industries,China's RCA in the low-tech industries which is obvious is disappearing. The low-tech industry is shifting from China to next emerging economies; The RCAs of in the lower middle technology industries are basically even; China's RCA in the upper middle technology industries is more significant; Although China's RCA in the high-tech industries is not significant,it is rising steadily over the past decades.
