The product space of domestic industries was developed basing on the producing data of enterprises of industries at four-digit level obtained from China Industry Enterprise database. Similar to that of the world,the domestic product space also shows the core-periphery property,with mechanics,instruments and sophisticated chemicals in the core,and other labor-or resource-intensive products dispersed outside. While in the periphery,metal and fundamental chemicals form a close cluster around energy and mining products. This outside cluster and the central cluster form a dumb bell-like structure of domestic product space of China. The positions of revealed comparative advantage of different provinces spread from core to periphery,corresponding to their different industrialization levels. As the industrial factors move more freely among domestic provinces than among different countries,the domestic product space shows some properties different from that of the whole world. One of the most important is that due to the amassing of labor from the west to the east districts together with the capital and intelligences,the cluster of labor-intensive products such as garment products,which position outside independently in the world product space, are in the central cluster and combined with more sophisticated and capital-intensive products like mechanics in the domestic product space. <<
