With the support of government，investment from the industry，breakthrough of key technology and the persuit of capitals，electronic wearable device industry is booming China in 2014. While there are some problems emerging in its development，such as the revelation of clients’ private information，structural integration for industrial chains，poor user experiences and unclear models of commercialization etc. Meanwhile，its specific characteristic of media makes electronic wearable device a special research field which deserves to be studied for media and communication researchers.
