According to a survey on staffs of Guangzhou urban units in 2014，the demand for workers in urban units that year was 18.92 million，showing a slight increase over last year. Among them，urban units on the secondary industry have demanded the largest number of personnel. There are two problems on the personnel demand in Guangzhou：First，labor demands in several industries and regions have decreased. Secondly，work units have little demands for graduates. It is recommended that government departments should grasp the opportunity of economic restructuring and upgrading to vigorously develop modern service industry and upgrade the traditional service so as to create more jobs. It is also recommended to improve the employment services system and adjust the structure of labor supply and demand.
