The development of health care system contributes not only to people's living, nevertheless also helps with coordination between economics and society. A healthy population is essential for the comprehensive construction of a well-off society. In this paper, we start from analysis of the relationship between health care system and a well-off society. And then we review the evolution in the latest decade according to two historical phases of health care reform. The historical analysis reveals that in the latest decade the government has been depending its understanding on the importance of health care and its contribution to socio-economic well-off. The pattern of reform has been characterized by Chinese feature. The paper concludes by the achievement of the health care reform and highlights trend for forthcoming health care reform. <<
