The new type urbanization is human-centered，and emphasizes the industrial support，living environment，social security，etc.，to achieve transformation from “town” to “city”. As a new district in Guangzhou，Conghua still has many problems currently，such as the relatively backward economy，the higher proportion of the agricultural population，and the weaker urban carrying capacity，etc.. Based on the analysis of current situation and problems，opportunities and challenges，this paper puts forward some countermeasures to develop the economy and society，and to build Conghua into a new district of Guangzhou periphery. <<
