Started from the competence features and status of scientific and technological workers，the inherent factors of alleviating the pressure of Guangzhou scientific and technological talents are discussed. Then，the competency features under the scientific and cultural background and the relationships between the competency features and individual pressure are analyzed to recommend feasible countermeasures. Meanwhile，the results would provide a reference for the departments and agencies to make the regulations and technology policies which would promote the construction of “Happy Guangzhou” and “Innovative Guangzhou”.
