Rainstorms and waterlogging are frequent in Guangzhou. The paper，by using the available information of rainstorms and waterlogging in Guangzhou since 1980s and software such as ArcGIS，etc.，emphatically analyzes the evolution of the distribution density and the spatial pattern of urban impervious surfaces in Guangzhou，as well as the evolution of the spatial pattern and trend of rainstorms and waterlogging in Guangzhou，providing a reference for prevention of waterlogging in Guangzhou.
