In 2012, the Chinese government was keeping working hard to protecting land rights for rural residents. The achievements are as follows: Comprehensively promoted to determine the ownership of rural land; set the reform direction of improving the proportion of farmers in land value-added benefits; corrected a few illegal land acquisition and resettlement cases. To better protect farmers' land rights, the Chinese government should adjust the compensation standard for land expropriation, administrate according to law in the land expropriation, and strengthen the accountability of officials. <<
