The right of personal freedom is one of the basic rights of citizens and also an important part of human rights. Abduction and sales of women and children are criminal activities seriously infringing their personal rights. Under the first national action plan against trafficking in women and children, the strength of combat and the attention-degree of society are rising year by year. The action has already achieved a remarkable success. As it is a long-term work, in the next stage the government should further perfect the relevant legislations, give full play to the social forces and technical strengths in the combat, strive to establish the long-effect mechanism, and gradually improve the security system of women and children to ensure them participating in social life equally, safely and freely. <<
