This report focuses on the development of women's colleges and universities worldwide by taking different countries and regions,languages,cultures and religious backgrounds into consideration. Based on comparative analysis and case studies,this report tries to figure out the value of women's colleges and universities in the modern educational system with a global vision. The study argues that women's colleges and universities have been making a great contribution to women's self-development and female leadership cultivation both in history and today. However,with the development of modern higher education,on the one hand,in some western countries,women's colleges and universities are shrinking and struggling for their identity;On the other hand,in regions with strong religious backgrounds and poor economic status,women's colleges and universities still have much to offer for educational opportunities for women,especially in terms of expanding women's vocational and career development. Despite the development of women's colleges and universities are somewhat different historically and regionally,They,as a whole,never stop to identify their own educational characteristics and advantages. On the one hand,these institutions pay special attention to the development of women's educational practice,as well as women's studies and women's leadership training;on the other hand,they are in unremitting efforts to enhance their competence and excellence to meet various challenges.
