“Crayfish-rice Cooperation” is an intensive and efficient agricultural model explored by the farmers in Qianjiang through practices. It has made preliminary achievements in accelerating the industrial linkage of primary industry，secondary industry，and tertiary industry，the industry-city merging，the area-fusion development，and the farmers’ nearly urbanization，as well as showing great potentials. This paper makes an analysis of summarizing the practice and the effect of the nearly urbanization promoted by the efficient agricultural model，“Crayfish-rice Cooperation” in Qianjiang. It aims to propel the industrial integration development in the city cluster on the middle reaches of Changjiang River and the farmers’ nearby urbanization in the traditional rice production areas.
