Social insurance is a system which helps citizens to resist social risks and to ensure the basic life needs，and is the core of social security. In this paper，the overall situation of the current social insurance system is reviewed from the aspects of the system coverage，the fund balance，and the payment level，the important reform of the social insurance field is reviewed in the past year，the existing problems in the social insurance system are analyzed，and the relevant policy recommendations are given.
