This report reviews some representative articles in mainstream foreign journals appear on international relations during the past year，and comments on their grasp of the hot issues and on trends in current research. The authors think that there are several new trends in the study of international relations in international academic circles，including the deepening of pluralism in international relations theory，the more prominent importance of research on Sino-American relations，the rising proportion of research on issues related to the BRICs，more plentiful and richer discussions of civil wars，and so forth. These new issues and trends are worthy of attention in domestic academic circles.
