The study aimed to understand Chinese citizens’ perception of social equity which covered overall perception of social equity，and equity evaluations to the allocation of education resources and medical resources，employment opportunities，social income distribution，social security，promotion and appointment of cadres，justice of law，gender，as well as urban and rural equality. The survey covered 36 important cities in China which are located in the east，middle，and west regions. A total of 1080 participants were involved. Results of the study provided related parties with suggestions on the decision-making to the work of social equity construction.
