This paper reviews the historical concept，development evolution and limits of CBD，from the perspective of promoting urban development，making a comparative analysis of spatial structure，scale characteristics and function composition of CBD in Beijing and Paris. It also emphasizes on experience and practice of development model innovation，public participation，culture construction，environmental protection and other aspects from Paris La Défense. The conclusion points out that，the diversified development model of CBD is of benefit to cope with new challenge from economic development and ecological environment. <<
