An emerging discipline，the US Non-profit Management Education（NME）develops rapidly in the past thirty years. This article，based on a systematic literature review of the US NME research，finds that the management education of NME and other disciplines should be made into an independent discipline. As the number of NME projects increased rapidly in the past three decades，the existing studies have proposed a relatively systematic curriculum system，but have yet to conduct sufficient study on the effect and social impact of the NME projects. In addition，in terms of knowledge generation，though the knowledge system of the non-profit departments has yet to be fully developed，there has emerged considerable knowledge on non-profit management. The main drivers of the US NME development include research centers，academic journals，books，academic networks，professional journals，websites，foundations，enterprises and private funding. Currently，China’s non-profit management education and research are in infancy；this article will inform China’s non-profit management education sector of the latest experience in NME.
