Food and drug safety is an important part of the right of citizen’s life and health，closely related with the national development and people’s livelihood.Food and drug safety event occurred frequently in recent years has aroused widespread concern.The Chinese government has made continuous effort to ensure food and drug safety.Food and drug regulatory system with Chinese characteristics is being gradually perfected.However，food and drug safety laws and regulations are still lagging behind，the enforcement should be further standardized，the means of detection，credit and self-discipline mechanism and supervisory role of the media should be strengthened.
