Democratic election is the basic manifestation of public authorization mechanism.The Electoral System with Chinese characteristics mainly includes the NPC deputy election and leadership election.Since the 1979’ Electoral Law and 1982’ Constitution were promulgated，China has not only expanded the scope of multi-candidate election and direct election in the normative level，but also increased the competitiveness to a larger degree on the operational level.In the new era，China will show more respect for the people’s initiative to expand orderly participation in political affairs，continue discussing the important issues such as the implementation of urban and rural areas with the same voting rights，the enhancement of competition as well as the expansion of multi-candidate election and direct election，and moreover emphasize“guarantee the people’s rights to be informed，to participate，to be heard，and to oversee by law” as the focus of the elections in the future.
