Protection of women’s rights and interests has achieved some new development in 2011.The Development Outline for Chinese Women（2011-2020）issued by the State Council，has highlighted the mainline of the basic national policy of gender equality，defined the principle and direction for women development，paid attention to the connection to the trend of international women development，emphasized furthering gender mainstreaming，paid special attention on female vulnerable groups，and strengthened the governmental responsibility in ensuring women development.However，the Third Interpretation concerning Some Issues on Application of the Marriage Law of the People’s Republic of China passed by Supreme Court has aroused wide public concern on protection of women’s domestic rights and interests.Furthermore，several laws，regulations and policies have paid special attention to protection of pregnant women.
