A stable and clean supply of energy is an important guarantee for the urbanization in China. Currently, there are many problems in the field of urban energy consumption, for example, continuous increasing energy consumption, unreasonable structure, extensive usage and low energy efficiency. China will soon enter into the urban era and the implementation of urban energy-saving strategy is an important way to deal with the urban energy use problems. At the same time, the two major national energy strategy goals, energy saving and environmental protection, must be achieved on the level of urban development. Therefore, to promote the implementation of the urban energy-saving strategy, the governments should take some measures to optimize the urban energy use, such as improving the policy system, adjusting the industrial structure, improving the clean energy supply, making standards for energy consumption and publicizing firmly the energy-saving conservation in cities. <<
