Great changes have occurred in the scale，strength and other aspects of Chinese Overseas in the new century，the importance of this group is increasing day by day. The new era brings forward new claim for Chinese Overseas Studies and Literature Collection for Chinese Overseas. We should comprehensively deal with the research scope，research methods and research depth. The 6th International Conference of Institutes & Libraries for Chinese Overseas Studies has made a new attempt to explore this.
