it is a consensus in the academic circle that there exists a remarkable stratification in the distribution of environmental pollution. This research finds that there is a similar stratified distribution of air pollution in Beijing. An analysis on the AQI of February 2014 reveals an apparent negative correlation between the air pollution and the income level among the districts and counties in Beijing Municipality. The graver is the air pollution，the greater is the impact of average income on the distribution of pollution.
