Auto passive safety technology can effectively protect the occupants during the accident. This paper introduces the history of the development of China’s automobile passive safety standards.The development of Chinese auto passive safety standards is divided into three stages：the primary stage，developing stage，and perfecting stage. Secondly，this paper also introduces China’s auto passive safety standard system. At last，this paper points out the development tendency of passive safety technology.
