Wit the popularization of EVs in the world，most countries including China have established a series of standards and regulations for the safety problems on EVs to ensure the safe operation of EVs. This paper introduces the relevant organizations for the establishment of EV safety standards and their progress. It focuses on the introduction of the current situation of the establishment of EV safety standards，including the standards for CBU vehicles （general safety and collision safety），power battery safety standard，fire-fighting safety standard，and emergency rescue etc.. It also puts forward the development trend of the EV safety standard in China.
