Gender discrimination is one of the important topics that have brought attentions of both international society and the government of China. Gender discrimination a product of gender inequality，and it mainly refers to discrimination against women. In recent years，some new progress has been made in China during the fight against gender discrimination. However，there still exist a large amount of phenomena of gender discrimination in current society，which has seriously influenced the development of equal and harmonious gender relations，and put big challenges to the protection of women’s rights. “The pursuit of gender equality is a great career.” Gender equality in essence is an issue of human rights. To promote gender equality by eliminating gender discrimination is the inherent requirement of universal human rights，and is also an important goal to comprehensively promote the rule of law. We have to more actively implement the basic national policy of gender equality，to further develop the relevant legal system，and to improve the accuracy and operability of laws against discrimination；to draw a specific “anti-discrimination law”；to establish specialized anti-discrimination bodies，to build up a culture of harmony and inclusiveness，to break up backward concepts and stereotypes that impede women’s development，and to construct a better society for women and for all.
